VTG Hallmark Sterling 1940 Carving Fork Reeded Baluster Handle 11” Rich Patina

Up for sale is a beautiful Vintage Hallmark Sterling Silver Handle Meat Carving Fork featuring a built-in safety guard/rest. This classic kitchen implement combines a highly decorative, weighted sterling handle with durable stainless steel prongs—perfect for formal holiday dinners or as a standout addition to a vintage silverware collection.

The end cap of the bulbous handle is clearly stamped with the "HALLMARK" maker's mark on one side and "STERLING" on the other.

Condition & Patina Details:

• Authentic Vintage Patina: This piece features a striking, authentic aged patina. Darker oxidation has naturally settled deep into the ribbed, ornate recesses of the sterling handle and near the safety guard junction. This highlights the beautiful structural details of the craftsmanship.

• Silver Surface: The smooth sections of the handle show a warm, soft luster alongside minor surface micro-scratches, tiny dings, and gentle tarnish spots characteristic of genuine, unpolished estate silver. We have left it completely unpolished to preserve its rich historical character, though it can easily be shined up with silver cleaner if you prefer a bright finish.

• Working End: The stainless steel dual tines and the safety guard remain structurally sturdy, rigid, and ready for use.
